Only about 25% of all coffee grown in the world is certified. For small-scale farmers, certification may seem remote. But with training and technical assistance, coffee farms can still achieve sustainable farming. All Nestlé Professional coffee is Responsibly Sourced.
This means that the coffee comes from farmers who follow one of the sustainability programs that correspond to Nestlé’s “Responsible sourcing standard”, such as Rainforest Alliance or FairTrade. These sustainability programs are verified or certified by independent third-party organizations. Responsibly Sourced also involves a high degree of traceability, making it possible to know where the coffee comes from and how it has been grown.
